Born in a military family, his father was an infantry sergeant in the Federation Army. YPM08 soon found out that following orders was not for him. Forced by his father to join the military, he chose to serve in the Federal Navy as a way to leave home. There he began his pilot career in a Federal Dropship.

Having hauled seized goods in the Navy for some months, he decided to complement his wage by selling some of the goods in the blackmarket. After some successful operations, one of his contacts asked for a bigger share. YPM08 refused to give him more and some weeks later, an 'anonymous informant' explained his activities to his superiors. He was then imprisoned for five years and dishonorable discharged after a martial court.

YPM08 was then abandoned at Ray Gateway in the Diaguandri system. There, he began his career as a private pilot. Soon, working hard without many prejudices, he built a small 'alegal' holding: piracy, smuggling, assassinations, 'VIP' transport...
