Streya was able to leverage her technical proficiency to enable petty crimes for her up-and-coming surface squad, but eventually they disbanded when the Imperial Internal Security Service began to scrutinize them more heavily. She was pressed into ten years of service with the Imperial Naval Infantry to clear her criminal charges. Her jet-gang experiences informed Streya politically, and she quickly makes fast connections in the outlaw underground of any system she visits. She began her Pilots Federation career after an anonymous transfer of a few thousand Credits and set of instructions, which she presumed to be from an old mob boss who owed her.
Wanting to leave her old life behind, she started out as many pilots do running data courier missions with a Sidewinder. After learning about FSD Booster technology from more seasoned CMDRs, she based out of the Cubeo region due to its relative proximity to the Coalsack Nebula and her home system. There she made fast friends with CMDR Tana, who invited her on contracts to accrue startup funds. With these funds Streya was able to afford a Krait Mk2, and set out to the Coalsack Nebula to collect data in Guardian ruins. After turning in the Guardian data for FSD Booster technology, she set out for the Eta Carina nebula. After that expedition, she ventured to Colonia, then to Sagittarius A*, and below the galactic disk. She beheld the wonders of infinite space and an abundance of both simple life and ruins of Guardians in many nebulae.
After returning to civilization her old life caught up to her as she became involved with the Neo-Marlinist Liberation Army, supporting them in the war in Mudhrid. After the NMLA's defeat she became a freelance mercenary and participated in many surface conflict zones, assassinations, and raids (for the right pay or cause). Her exploits have been found in major wars, including the T Tauri War and Battle of Summerland. While training with Yi Shen in Colonia to optimize a handgun, she also helped build the Colonia Bridge during Phase 3. With her combat bonds and construction vouchers she commissioned H2G-52M Renaissance Anchorage to act a mobile deep-space base and academy for mercenaries and outlaws.
Paranoid that her involvement with the NMLA would make her persona non grata in the Empire, Streya was found by Black Widow squadron leader CMDR Akheteru and joined Archon Delaine's cause. Accepting the sin of the sword, she covertly enforces the rule of factions favorable to the Pirate King to prevent larger scale wars from ever breaking out. When Archon Delaine called for his pilots to punish rebelling elements of the Kumo Council, Streya answered the call in earnest. Rising through the ranks, she now serves as Black Widow's arch-corsair of the Paijao control sphere (not to be confused with the Kumo Council Arch-Corsairs, higher in the organization and closer to Archon Delaine himself). She has also been spotted participating in the EOFCC spacesuit combat tournament, and was present at HIP 22460 when the Proteus Wave fired.
Following her middle-of-the-pack tournament performance and barely surviving the Thargoids in HIP 22460, Streya continued to refine her assassination and stealth techniques while the galaxy held its breath in anticipation of the Stargoids. She has fought in the Thargoid War efforts in the systems affected by Maelstrom Raijin, coordinating with the Defense Council of Humanity. She also spearheaded a diplomatic mission to legitimize the Kumo Council's control of ports in the California Nebula, though this election campaign ultimately failed. Nonetheless the Kumo Council continued with their anti-Xeno war plans in the California Nebula.
Streya would later prove victorious in subsequent seasons of combat tournaments, winning the EOFCC 1v1 G5 Finals. She continues to support the Defence Council of Humanity in defending the area around Maelstrom Raijin and the wider Bubble against Thargoid aggression. She has become specialized in guerilla operations in Thargoid-occupied space, using her past experiences as an assassin to move quietly but strike hard.
As the Thargoid War came to a seeming standstill in late 3309 and humanity poised itself to repeat past mistakes, Streya became involved with the Anti-Club Accords. The Accords are a group of rebels seeking to expose the Club Conspiracy as told by the legendary CMDR Salome, and the ACA recognized Kumo Crew members as having a stake in ending the Conspiracy after Archon Delaine called out Sirius Corp following events in the California Nebula. After showing the Accords mutual defense and aid pact to her fellow Black Widow Corsairs, she negotiated the signing of that document.
By Spring of 3310 the war with the Thargoids heated back up as humanity developed a method to destroy the Titans. After the first Titan, Taranis, was successfully destroyed and it was proven possible, Streya threw herself at these efforts. Ostensibly for glory and riches, this period of time was also marked by her financial investment into factions favorable to Archon Delaine or the ACA's interests. With the entire galaxy focused on the Thargoid War and immediate task of xeno-defense, Streya hopes to see the conflict through while winning honor and recognition for outlaw pilots everywhere.
As the Thargoid War came to a seeming definitive turning point in the summer of 3310 Streya fell in love with another Commander, who in turn convinced her to give up fighting Thargoids. Seeing no honor in kicking an opponent when they are down and not wanting to bring about another HIP 22460, Streya took her partner's side and instead explored for a time.
As the political rivalries of the galaxy heated up in November 3310, Streya was most recently sighted in Kumo Crew space. Her experience in the Thargoid War conducting Search and Rescue operations have translated well into granting distressed Kumo pilots a second chance at the spacelanes.
She advocates for a recognized Kumo Nation for all the hardened outcasts and dregs of the galaxy, and dreams of setting up a Helix farm somewhere quiet one day.
