When I first joined the Independent Thargoid Investigative Task Force, I wasn't expecting much considering the few direct members we have. Early days where filled with easy data entry and deliveries to nearby systems. I didn't have to leave my ship as often and directly interact with any one, hermitting I think that's what they call it. (My spell checker said otherwise but frankly that's why they have an 'add word' option.) Sounds bad. But frankly it's why I joined the Pilots Federation, they helped make those things easy so I could focus on work.

Workaholic statement right? Yeah, I thought so too after a while. While I certainly enjoyed my work, it was the ability to move about the galaxy that made it tolerable. It may sound easy right? Data Clerk. Simple surely; well when you're in a low security system and carrying some high value goods for transport because it's along your route. Expect pirates. Always expect pirates. Jump into a new system, expect pirates. Nearing the station/planet, expect pirates. New contact(s) in rage, expect pirates. It's thanks to them I decked out my Viper MkIV, Meadow as I call her, with "Mostly Harmless" seeing as I felt it appropriate for me. Few seem to get it; sadly. The mask thing as well...

Alright the mask thing is a different topic, and well I guess I should explain it proper. No; I do not have any disfigurement of my face due to birth or combat. I realize it's strange to see a grown man using a visor to express himself, but my reasoning is-- complex to say the least. For starters I don't like showing my face in public. While I don't mind being stared at like a side show freak because lets face it, guy with emotion-mask will be stared at like a side show freak. It does do it's basic function very well, hide my face. I operate with a general leniency towards legal within the system I'm in, but for the few times I've had a scuffle with the law it saved me from needing it for disfigurement reasons. My identifications all do have my face on them. It's just... A thing okay? I don't wanna sound paranoid.

So, I suppose I should wrap this entry up with my history so-far with ITIF. For that I need to go a little further in my past. When I was a child and lived in Henricks Gateway in the Hanggardi System my father would pass along old tales that his father told him of a forgotten war against a single ship. My father wanting to help get his child to bed would never tell me what the ship was. Just that it was powerful, more so than anything humans ever produced. I hung onto that story and later in my teens and early-adult life I began using the net to try and find out more. I eventually found Kilo Wolf, and Eugen Bold. These two are the founders of ITIF, having done much of the leg work before me. Having a Cobra MkIII at the time-- I left Hanggardi and moved to Furbaide where Kilo had started up the Independent Thargoid Investigative Task Force. Eventually gaining some financial stability and influence within the system as weapon manufactures.

When I first joined on it was kinda over whelming, stepping into a rather large scale operation that had almost no organization. Holy crap was it a mess, Invoices and receipts mixed up, employee registry was missing several critical employees and their basic information. It didn't help that then when I had to start interacting with other Furbaide groups their information was missing some crucial things, like the fact we even existed. Plus, I gotta say, it's hard as fuck to explain why you're named after an alien race that maybe 30% of the galaxy knew existed let alone consider a threat these days. Boy the governments reactions to the recent reports and videos that've come up don't help matters. Also, pirates, pirates sure as fuck don't help.

Anyways, I feel like this has gone on long enough for now. Hopefully this get's less rambly as I go on in entries. I doubt it.
