Since the first time i looked up into the stars as a kid, i dreamt of wandering above and wondering about everything that could and will be, outside of our planet Earth, far from our reach.

Life certainly wasnt an easy task down there, surviving on the last coins of the month, cheap and unhealthy foods were our only choice since luxury was only for the wealthy scumbag earthlings.
I dropped out of the educational system to find work, put food on the table.
Decisions like these always disappointed my father, he wanted me to be part of the rich and be someone big on Earth. I never could have..

I freelanced a lot since i was 15 years old, collected a handfull of experience here and there; i was a security agent at our national Rothschild Bank, worked in my favorite Ramen shop when they needed assistance, lots of construction work too, and on the weekends, i was a delivery boy.

Everything changed when i turned 22 years old. the year of my fathers passing; he left me some heritage, Hell i never knew we had heritage in our economy. It wasnt money, it wasnt a house, nor was it Debt, thank god.. the letter i recieved only gave me coordinates and a message saying "take good care of her"

The coordinates took me to our old, abandonned and barricated farm house.
I check in the barn and see a huge lump covered with cloth.

Curiosity got the better of me.

A dusty and partially disassembled DBX that he was working on from time to time since he was my age, but always kept it a secret hobby apperently.

It would have raised way too many questions like how the hell did he get a spaceship? Spaceships have always seemed unattainable and way too expensive for surface workers like us. And why did he never tell anyone about it? Maybe out of fear of losing it to the blue collars upstairs... Every question led to dead ends.

Either way, after a couple of days of tinkering and youtube tutorials like "how to check for oil leaks on Diamondback 3256 build year" and "where the hell is the handbreak on this thing"

Never did i think my father was a daydreamer like i always have been, i guess its genetic.

I often think of him when i wander the distant stars, walk the vast landscapes, and roam the numerous bright stations; we could have experienced oir dream together.
