Sounds Imperial to Feds. Sounds Federation to Imps
Naomi Moon-Khan was born in the year 3277. Her birth was the product of an affair between Rachel Khan, the Duchess of Themiscrya and former Federation Ambassador Nathan Moon. To avoid scandal, Naomi was raised in secret by tutors and governesses outside of imperial space. While she was taught the ways and duties of the Imperial Nobility, her isolation from imperial society made her feel like her family was ashamed of her.
When she was 16, She ran away from home to seek out her father, who had been unaware of her existence until she showed up at the gates of the Federation Embassy on Achenar. He quietly took legal custody of her and sent her to live on Mars to finish her education.

Seeing her as a constant reminder of the ambassador's infidelity, Naomi's stepmother did not make her feel much more welcome in Federation space than she had felt in the Empire. Naomi dreamt of a life free from the expectations and pretense that her parentage had left her with. As a child, she had been fascinated by stories and myths about alien intelligences, such as the Thargoids, or the mysterious non-human relic found on Mars. Pursuing those interests would certainly lead her away from the drama of galactic politics, for a while at least.

In 3299, Naomi graduated from UM Utopia Planetia with a double major in Astronautical Engineering/Exobiology. Her father, feeling guilty for how she had been treated by both her mother and stepmother, bought her a DBX with a brand new Sirius Corp Frame Shift Drive for her graduation. Equipped with her new ship, cheekily named "Zoomies" due to its high jump range, and her pet cat, a cerulean colored Tianvian short-hair named "Blueberry", she set off into the void to search for alien life.

Her next few years were spent out in the black. Occasionally making the trip back to the bubble or to an asteroid base to resupply and pick up more cat treats :3

One fateful day in 3303, a Galnet report came in referring to strange events in the Pleiades Nebula. She was serendipitously close to home, so the Pleiades was only a few dozen jumps away. A mystery like this was too enthralling not to be investigated personally, even if half the Pilots' Federation and their mothers were already swarming the nebula investigating as well.

She became obsessed. She devoured every bit of information there was to be learned about the aliens. Later they were confirmed to be the Thargoids of old legend. Why did they appear now? What did they want? They had no qualms with ripping you out of hyperspace, but they weren't hostile by default. They seemed to get upset if you were carrying bits of their tech in your hold, but would otherwise only fire if first provoked. Yet there were reports of them scooping up escape pods from destroyed human ships. She preferred not to speculate on what fate befell those pilots.

There were other discoveries too! Ruins of humanoid civilization that had gone extinct a few million years ago. It seemed that their technology could be reverse engineered by our scientists. Fascinating! Ironic that she had spent all those years looking for alien civilizations out in the black when the discoveries were waiting to be found much closer to home.

Some commanders took it upon themselves to exact a crusade on what they perceived as alien invaders. During that time, Naomi preferred to think of them as a mystery to be solved, rather than a threat. She cashed in her exploration bonds and commissioned Saud Kruger to build her a custom Beluga Liner, the Heart of Gold. Outfitted with state of the art sensors, laboratories, and comfortable quarters, it was a veritable research college in the form of a star cruiser. The sheer size of the ship even allowed for the addition of a small, internal, spinning section with moderate simulated gravity, so that Blueberry would have someplace to play and sleep without having to wear the magnetized booties that she had had to wear on the Zoomies.

Now accompanied by a full crew of scientists, xeno-archaeologists, and engineers, Naomi and the Heart of Gold set out once more to solve the mysteries of the Thargoids and the Guardians.

With the arrival of the Titans following Salvations attempted genocide of the Thargoids, seeing the devastation that was unleashed on the Bubble. Naomi brought the Heart of Gold to Shinrarta Dezhra for a complete refit. Now a rescue vessel, She set to work evacuating civilians and injured from invaded systems. Her ship was unarmed. She didn't want to contribute to a war that she felt humanity was at fault for, but it was her duty to save as many lives as she could.

The Heart of Gold managed to evacuate thousands of civilians before it was caught in the crossfire of a fierce battle and destroyed by Hydras outside of Wakata station. Naomi was the only survivor. She had left her seat to manually launch escape pods and was thrown clear of the ship by an explosive decompression before the reactor breached.

After the loss of the Heart of Gold, her crew, and her dearest Blueberry, Commander _Naomii_ joined the ranks of Independent Commanders who were fighting against the Thargoid invasion in the defense of humanity. After a series of training courses from AXI, she purchased an Alliance Chieftain, which the called the Maccabe, after the ancient warriors from her mother’s family’s ancestral homeland on Earth. The Maccabes had also fought against an overwhelmingly powerful force, and were victorious. She equipped her new ship with Guardian Gauss cannons, and set herself loose on the invasion fleets.

The early days of the Titan invasion were more of an exercise in stubbornness than a real battle. Save for a few pilots who had been fighting Thargoids for years in the nebulae, Commanders like Naomi had to learn on the fly. For the first few weeks of fighting, she ate ship rebuys like they were candy.

In November 3308 Naomi was flying a sortie over a planetary starport when she encountered a very unusual sight. A Mamba, painted in iridescent azure. It was demonstrating a combat style and loadout that flew in the face of everything her AX training courses had taught her, and it was far more deadly for doing so. This pilot was able to dispatch a Basilisk in a mere handful of minutes. Something that would take a solo pilot flying a conventional AX strategy considerable more time to do.
The Mamba belonged to a Paladin of the Order of the Caretaker, a mysterious group who were worshippers of the Guardian God. The Caretaker was the extra-dimensional entity which had allegedly rescued former Federation President Jasmina Halsey, after the incident which destroyed the Federation One starship.

Enticed by the powerful display of might by the Paladin, Naomi accepted his offer of recruitment into the Order. Following a painful initiation rite, where they branded her using a highly charged fragment of a Guardian Relic, which left her permanently marked with triangular glyphs and ancient circuit pattern, she learned the true nature of the Order.

The Order believes that our galaxy is locked in a proxy struggle between two celestial beings, the Caretaker, and the Far God. The Order exists to serve the goals of the Caretaker, in opposition to the Far God, who would have her heralds, the Thargoids, destroy humanity. The Order’s pockets run deep and it has influence inside the leadership of Superpowers and powerful corporations. It has been able to secure allied status with major Alliance and Imperial factions, and exerts a high degree of control on the operation of Azimuth Biotech.

While the corporation sets its goals independently, the Order’s leader, a man who goes by the title of Imperator, believes that the path laid out by Salvation is the only path to saving humanity. The Order was there working alongside Azimuth for the entire lead up to the Proteus wave. They were instrumental in securing the necessary tech for its construction, and they fought both humans and Thargoids alike to protect its construction.

After the Titans arrived, the Imperator was tasked by Azimuth to direct the efforts of sympathetic Commanders on the corporation's behalf. This is where they placed Naomi, now fully indoctrinated in the ways of the Order. Having spent the better part of a year in intense training and reconditioning, and with considerable financial backing and a newly commissioned fleet carrier, Naomi began her tenure as an Azimuth Vice President in charge of Propaganda and Diplomatic relations with her fellow Commanders.

In 3309, she served as a general in the war over the Wandrama system between Azimuth and the Anti-Club Accord. She negotiated and was a signatory of the Wandrama Convention, which brought an end to that conflict.

While Naomi had been acting in what she thought were the best interests of Humanity, the Imperator revealed to her that he had no interest in abiding by the terms of the treaty that he had had her negotiate on his behalf. It was merely a distraction tactic used to lull Azimuth’s enemies into a false sense of security before striking again.
She also began to learn of the atrocities committed by Azimuth, and by the Order in the name of Salvation and the Caretaker. She had set herself down this path of violence to protect the innocent, not to harm them in the name of saving others.

She parted ways with Azimuth and the Order. She still hoped to unravel the mysteries of the Guardians in the hopes that they would lead to an end to the war, but humanity was only worth saving if we could prove we could live by ethical standards. She gathered what information and intelligence on her former masters that she could and turned it over to Aegis. She has continued to work with Aegis, as well as collaborating with Xeno Peace activist organizations such as YKE Technologies, in the hopes that a combined perspective that takes into account information beyond the shortsighted interpretation that Thargoids are simply monsters, will bring about an end to the senseless violence raging across the bubble.

She eventually joined the Rainbow Alliance of Systems, a faction that fights for diversity and freedom for all citizens of the galaxy. She swiftly rose through the ranks there and now serves on the RAOS Council.
Under her leadership, RAOS became a signatory of the ACA. She and RAOS work with the other factions in the Accord to rid the galaxy of the evil conspiracy known as the Club.
