Howdy, everyone, callsign is Aliqueer. Yes, I am not straight. That's the joke.
I don't particularly enjoy talking about my family or upbringing. Suffice to say, my family was, admittedly, rather well off, and was no fan of the superpowers. That is one of the few things I continue to agree with them on; I do appreciate the work I have done for the powers, but I remain independent at heart.

Living only a few LY from the home of Felicity Farseer, whom I have now worked with extensively, gave me quite the desire to see the stars from an early age... and a bizarre fear of black holes. Hopefully, it is obvious that fear has been... subdued.

I got my start in core mining. Made a decent income, barely made any rank though. A man can only see an asteroid explode so many times before your sensors shorting out seems mundane. Thus, I... took a break for a few years. Let's be clear, a single trip of low-temp diamonds in a Python sets a man for life.

And then Salvation happened. That damn fool. I had heard of Thargoids, but even before the war truly began, I knew something was coming. After several incident reports with the rescue rangers, I signed up with the AXI. While I admit the total number of kills to my name is not incredible, I focused my efforts mostly on interceptors. I am now one of the 40 or so who hold the decent pilot rank with the AXI, which, despite the sarcastic name, is their highest honor. Until recently, I also participated in their rotating Koben (praise his name) medal systems.

I have seen and fought in titan space, and currently hold a few samples from those creatures. If there is one area I have been obliterated in the most embarrassing ways possible, it is around one of those monsters. I have helped out in various combat zones, and was one of the first to see the barnacle matrix sites. In short, I've been obsessed with goids for a while now.

This required funding of course, which is where my rank in trade comes from. To explain this, I will offer only two words: Booze Cruise. Also, Rackham is a tool, and I hope he gets kidnapped by goids.

Speaking of, shortly after the arrival of the scythes, I decided to finally use my funds to engage in that wonder I have had since my youth. After a lengthy journey from heart and soul to the bubble nebula to a particular supernova remnant, I have discovered over 100 systems, cataloged way too many damn plants, and have seen some utterly amazing sights out of this beautiful galaxy. The "planet of death" was particularly amazing (sorry again, rescue rangers).

Thus, I consider myself an explorer, a practiced xeno hunter, and a massive nerd.
