Zaal Davoodi, also known as Gol Davoodi Shah (the Chrysanthemum King), was born in 3273 in the Poemavati System. Life on the frontier of the Bubble is not without its challenges, and growing up in such a harsh and unforgiving environment presented many, but Zaal found solace in the tight bonds he shared with his immediate and extended family. They formed a strong support network, always looking out for one another in the face of adversity.

Zaal's life was forever changed when his family's asteroid mining vessel was attacked by a group of crazed pirates. He and his cousin Sohrab were the only two survivors of the brutal attack. Seeking vengeance for the loss of his family, Zaal became a mercenary for hire, traveling throughout the Bubble and taking on various missions.

As he gained experience and built his reputation, Zaal caught the attention of the Imperial Navy, who recognized his skills and offered him a position within their ranks. Zaal accepted the offer and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually earning the title of Honorary King of the Imperial Navy.

With his newfound influence, Zaal dedicated himself to upholding the principles of Javanmardi, a code of chivalry passed down through his Persian ancestors. He vowed to defend and protect the unfortunate souls who might find themselves as refugees, extending his helping hand to those who needed it.
