Named for the emperor of a feudal nation which tore itself apart centuries ago, Argon claims descent from that line. This claim is contested by the fact that the original Emperor Argon Shadowstar supposedly never fathered an heir, and the adopted hero who he had intended to name as heir mysteriously disappeared before his death.

This Argon claims to be the descendant of a bastard child whose existence was covered up. If this is true, it probably matters little as there is little left of that nation these days, and nothing left to claim.

However, the events of the civil war robbed his family of much of their wealth and prestige. He believes that the old Shadowstar Imperium was sabotaged by the Federation and the Empire of Achenar, as it potentially threatened their power. Although his parents were quick to let go of the family legacy and live peaceful lives, Argon took inspiration from his name and has embarked upon a journey to avenge the Imperium and bring justice and death to those responsible for its fall, and anyone else who offends his sense of honor.

From a young age, he was always quiet, but driven. Displaying remarkable skill with weapons, tactics, and warfare, he joined the local militia once he was old enough and rose through the ranks. After being betrayed by his commanding officer on the orders of an Imperial spy, he went renegade and sabotaged his unit, killing the treacherous commander and the spy at the same time.

Running for his life, he found refuge with the Gunn Runners Mercenary Outfit who respected his combat skill and were willing to take him in despite his wanted status. There he found a kinship that had been lacking in the military. Though they were not particularly successful, nor well liked mercenaries, they had grown to become his family over the decades that he served with them. In time, several of them had decided to help him with his dream of avenging the Imperium, and worked together to help him qualify for his Pilots Federation Membership.
