Born in Sol to a loving family who were struggling to get by, James Evans knows first hand what it means to take any means necessary to survive. Growing up, Evans never had loads of the fancy pleasures most people could afford, due to his family's financial state. Because of this, Evans grew up learning how to get by in a solar system that seemed to favour the rich and ignore the poor.

As Evans got older, he found his way into crime, and by the age of 20, was pulling off different scores on Earth and other inhabited places within the Sol System. When he started these crimes, he gave himself the nickname Jbird, a name that struck fear into those who crossed him. During this time, he founded a criminal organisation known as The Notorious, who also became feared throughout the Sol System. Things didn't last though, as at the age of 25, he was arrested after a failed ship-jacking. Jbird easily had multiple life sentences on his head, as well as many death sentences, but due to his and his crews skills and abilities, he was able to drop virtually all the charges and so only served the charge for the vehicle jacking, and was released on good behaviour 3 years later at the age of 28.

Once Jbird left prison, he left the life of crime behind, and his crew followed suit, their names and feats now only mentioned in stories. After leaving this life behind, Jbird moved onto freelancing, doing jobs for different factions across the galaxy. At 30, he started doing work for the Alliance, specifically in Edmund Mahon's territory, assisting them with whatever they tasked him with. However, despite working for the Alliance, Jbird was still a freelancer and wasn't pledge to Edmund Mahon, so a year later started doing work for the Empire, specifically in A. Lavigny-Duval's territory.

However, there was an issue. The Alliance wasn't happy with this decision, as they believed he betrayed and backstabbed them, which was of course not the truth. So, to "tie up a loose end", a year later when Jbird was 32, The Alliance sent agents to hunt him down, the same way defectors are dealt with. Although Jbird wasn't taken out, the Alliance managed to seize all of his assets, leaving him with nothing.

After this, Jbird went silent. Nobody seemed to really know where he was or what happened to him. That was until September 3310, where after working for some private military organisation, he joined the Pilots Federation, under the name CMDR Cooljbird124.

Now that he's back in action, Jbird is hellbent on revenge against the Alliance for what they did to him. For now though, he resumes his freelancing work for different factions, primarily within Archon Delaine's territory, while also beginning to once again nurture the crime element in the galaxy, with the ultimate goal to get back what he lost, and confront those in the Alliance who crossed him, no matter what it takes.

On the 11th November 3310, Jbird pledged allegiance to Archon Delaine, showing that Jbird is returning to his old criminal ways for three possible reasons. He is either planning to reform The Notorious back to it's former glory, become part of a big criminal organisation, or just go back to committing crimes again like his old days, with the added bonuses of being alleged to Archon Delaine.
