Valorian Axten was born on Discovery, a blossoming terraformed planet located within the Arcturus system. Born into a family of pilots, Valorian's passion for exploration and adventure was instilled in her from a very early age. Her parents, both accomplished pilots themselves, nurtured her talent and encouraged her dreams of soaring amongst the stars. Growing up, Valorian would often accompany her father on weekend excursions, marveling at the breathtaking vistas and celestial bodies that dotted their travels. These experiences fostered a deep sense of wonder and curiosity within her, driving her to pursue a career as a pilot and cartographer.

Raised alongside her younger brother, Troy, Valorian shared many of his interests and hobbies. Together, they would spend hours poring over star maps and discussing their dreams of one day becoming renowned explorers in their own right. Their close bond remains strong to this day, despite Troy having chosen a different career path upon graduation from the Federation Academy of Space Exploration.
