Sirrus' family were imperials that supported an independent faction in the Gendalla system. During his young adult years the Federation violently usurped Gendalla from the independent factions in control of his home system; CMDR Sirrus pledged to the Alliance and assisted in the Alliance's push towards Sol. After this short and semi-victorious campaign (Gendalla liberated but now controlled by the Alliance) Sirrus chose to return to the Empire; to the system where his Grandfather had some limited nobility: Munshin. After claiming his heritage, Sirrus would go on to support Senator Patreus and the Emperor's defense against the Federation's aggression. Later on finding a universal goal; he and others worked together to begin a new freedom initiative in the Karbon system thus the Shadow of the Phoenix was born.
