Kenjiro was born on May 26th, 3260 in Azeban City, in the Eranin system. His family was very traditional, descending from a long line of Earth’s samurais. However, the ancient ways of the Bushido had long been replaced by Science in the Tanaka family. Kenjiro’s father, Ryuji Tanaka, was the last in many generations of Computer Scientists and Engineers. So he had been passing his knowledge to his only son since he was a boy. Kate, Kenjiro’s mother, was a strong but loving woman, taking care of their home and, at the same time, working in one of the medical facilities of the station.

Many of Kenjiro's relatives (uncles and cousins) wanted a different life, they didn’t want to follow the family tradition. Thus many of them decided to be pilots, to travel to other systems, explore the galaxy. However, only a few of them ever came back home. Some were killed by the raging piracy, others were caught in the crossfire of wars between factions. That was the reason behind Ryuji’s disapproval when Kenjiro told his parents he had enlisted for the Pilots Federation Academy. He ensured his father he was not deviating from the family tradition. He wanted to take their knowledge to the Pilots Federation, to make space travels more secure, more reliable. To protect and save lives.

In the Academy he had trouble getting along with other Cadets. He was considered a nerd among soon to be pilots. He always spent more time fidgeting with electronics, computers and technology than training in the simulators or discussing maneuvers and starship brands/models with the other Cadets.

The other guys couldn’t believe he graduated at the same time as they did. On that day Captain Austin, an Imperial pilot and instructor at the Academy, congratulated him personally and reminded him of the invitation to join the Imperial Navy.

“Sir, first I want to be on my own. I am taking a ride to Asellus Primus after tomorrow. The Pilots Federation said there will be a Sidewinder waiting for me there, as a loan of course.”

He then lived part time in his ship and part time with the love of his life, Andreia, who was pregnant, expecting a girl.

Many years later, in 3303, his daughter was already following his footsteps at the Pilots Federation Academy. He was travelling to deliver some cargo in Dahm Exchange, a station in the Quince system, when he got a message from his mother. Admiral Austin had invited the Tanaka family to visit their granddaughter in the Academy. Kenjiro said he would meet them there after finishing this contract.

A few days later, still in Quince, he got a troubling message from his daughter, Aileen. Admiral Austin’s ship had been destroyed. Kenjiro’s wife and parents were among the victims. They were caught in an orchestrated and simultaneous attack to ships in the vicinity of the Pilots Federation Academy and Imperial Academy. Kumo Crew, the criminal faction under the orders of the Pirate King Archon Delaine, took responsibility for the terrorist attack.

That was a heavy and dark day for him and his daughter. He couldn’t go see Aileen because all the systems which suffered the attacks were in lockdown. He was in rage, he was furious. He remembered Austin’s invitations to join the Imperial Navy, one of Delaine’s most fierce enemies. He had to train, rekindle the fire of combat he left in the shadows of his soul while pursuing the development of an AI he called Vector Sigma. That AI was his great objective when he was in the Academy. Sigma could have helped Admiral Austin avoid or evade that terrorist attack.

He worked many, many days. He took part in the civil wars that raged in Quince by that time. During the nights at the station, instead of resting, he worked overnight on his project. During the wars in Quince he met an Imperial pilot, Captain Joso, who recruited him to a new squadron, formed of Imperial bounty hunters. “We will be the hunters protecting Imperial borders, hunting criminals wherever they are. You have the fire we need, Kenjiro.”

That was the day he joined their order. That was the day he committed his life to protect Imperial citizens from those who would do them harm. The day he joined the ranks of the SILVER HUNTER ORDER.

After the SHO restored the Imperial order in the Guathiti system, he was asked to make a presentation to the Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval. Her Imperial Highness had heard of his work with Vector Sigma and wanted to see the AI in first hand. Soon after the presentation, all Imperial shipyards received the order: all Imperial ships would have Sigma installed.

When the SHO arrived in the Tinigua system to make it their home, Kenjiro was chosen as their High Lord Commander. This is was the beginning of his story...
