Born to a pair of Federation tea and coffer traders, Jade Mia Merrydown was destined to become a trader herself, and once she was old enough went to earn her Pilot's Federation license as soon as she could, it took her three attempts but she finally passed only being held back by the combat courses. Not long after passing her training, Jade left Eranin looking to strike out on her own beginning with trading much like her parents before her.

Not long after Jade felt the calling to explore the stars first heading out to the witch head nebula, where her first encounter with Thargoid's resulted in the loss of her right eye, from that point on she swore to learn to how to fight with the end goal of hunting down Thargoids to gain some sort of vengeance.
