History: Jason Frimantle is a third-generation star pilot. His grandfather was a member of the Federal navy, claiming that he barely escaped the "Incident at Delta Pavonis" with his life. He resigned his commission and settled in Eravate to begin a trading company. His son, Joseph, flew with James Winston and his crew of fourteen bounty hunters in 3265, helping to smash the notorious "Sirius Templar" pirates. The rewards from that expedition helped expand the trading business, and Joseph also settled and got married, his wife giving birth to Jason in 3275. Jason grew up on stories from both his father and grandfather, dreaming of his own life of adventure.

When Jason's mother took ill in 3298, Joseph left on a long mission to parts unknown. Not long after, Jason's grandfather disappeared entirely. All Jason could do was take trading assignments on his own under his father's name, never straying far from Eravate, caring for his mother as best he could. When Zachary Hudson was installed as President in 3301, the family lost their health care, and Abigail died soon after. Furious at his father, Jason purchased his own ship and struck out on his own.

Details on what happened next are not exactly clear.

Now allied with the cause of Princess Aisling Duval, and operating as a freelance Commander in Imperial space, Jason Frimantle is fully committed to carving out his own place in the galaxy.

Personality: Jason Frimantle is, for the most part, easy-going and even-handed. The vastness and possibilities of open space appeal to him greatly, and he will often talk of a longing to explore far beyond civilized territory. His affable nature, smooth voice, and knowledge of astronomical phenomena make him a decent pilot for sightseeing tours, but his first love is freelance trading and combat zone support for the Empire.

While a natural at space flight and combat, Jason deeply enjoys connecting with other Commanders, swapping stories over drinks, and the occasional flirtation and romance. He harbors no love for Hudson's Federation but avoids the subject of politics when speaking with other pilots. He is vehemently opposed to the concept of slavery, but while he mentions a degree of personal experience in that regard, he does not often share details. He would much rather focus on the present and future than the past.

Personal Equipment: Jason maintains his own Remlok suit, often tweaking its systems and the ways in which it interfaces with ship's systems. He carries a sidearm, an old-fashioned ballistic pistol, which he also maintains in his spare time. He has an interest in AI systems for starship maintenance, as well as engineering ship systems by hand. He wears his grandfather's flight jacket when off-ship.
