Flying into the unknown has been the perfect way to keep me busy and always thinking of the next mission. Click 'READ MORE' for an overview of more than 8 years in the void o7. |
I've often set myself 'Projects' involving spreadsheets, planning and keeping records for everything including: INARA Awards, galleries (on my pc and online), a massive ED mats spreadsheet, CQC performance tracker, stat based objectives, unlocks, engineering phases, exploration trips, rare site visits and INARA logbooks.
I fly in the Mobius private group and am a member of the INARA group Order of Mobius - as you always bump into decent people, being PVE only. I've tried open many times over the years but always been reminded why it's just not worth it at all - like here.
Feel free to get in contact for a chat, any advice, to Multicrew or team up.
You can find INARA logbooks covering 2018+ here and the overall summary from 2014+ below:
-
2014
- The journey was started back in beta October 2014, with a keyboard and mouse. By the time 1.0 had launched, I'd invested in a HOTAS and was familiar with the basics but hadn't yet been exploring or tried many other aspects.
-
2014-2015
- In December 2014, Pendentes (Sidewinder) was temporarily flown to generate revenue through missions, then Comitatum (Hauler) for trading. After a couple of weeks Atavus (Cobra Mk III) was bought to start trading in rare commodities while exploring as much as possible on route.
-
2015
- By April 2015, I'd set off on a long journey to the galactic core - Sagittarius A. After visiting thousands of systems over a few months and collecting a log of 100 milestone systems with images and details, I returned to the bubble at the end of June 2015.
- 3 medium ships were temporarily flown after returning from the galactic core - with Seminiverbius (Vulture) for combat, Indagator (Type 6) for trade and Atavus for exploration. In August 2015, Deus Vult (Fer-De-Lance) was added to the fleet.
- October 2015 was when I started CQC, which I still love to this day. Deus Vult was spec'd for combat (prior to Engineers) and was the ship used when reaching Elite in November 2015.
- Deus Vult was flown whilst gradually saving enough for Viatorem (Anaconda) in December 2015, which was also when CQC Prestige 1 was achieved. Viatorem was configured for exploration and Deus Vult covered military purposes.
-
2015-2016
- Later in December, Viatorem was flown to just outside the core (17K LY from Sol) for Neutron star farming. The mission took a few months to gain enough experience to reach Elite in exploration. After thousands of jumps, it was time to return to the bubble again.
-
2016
- The next priorities were unlocking 26 permits, gaining access to the 20 engineers and getting them all to grade 5. Since gaining engineer access, effort has always continued with resource gathering and engineer mods for ship improvements.
- During August / September 2016, Itermercator (Type 9) was used for mining to earn 33.33m from a sale of Painite. After that, Constantinople (Cutter) was purchased for combat and trading.

-
2017
- In March & April 2017, Viatorem covered a smuggling goal for 333m of Thargoid Artefacts... to aid scientific research.
- After taking time to work on many stats again, Constantinople was the ship used to reach trading Elite in July 2017.
- Most of the second half of 2017 was spent exploring unique locations around the bubble and a trip to the galactic arm. The 106 scenic images were from visiting 58 key locations inc the Formadine Rift, INRA sites and many side tasks. Each image was in order and has their details & locations listed - if you'd like to see the places for yourself.

-
2017-2018
- As I'd been busy with other objectives for so long, money had never been a primary focus and nor had passenger missions. Viatorem was refitted near the end of 2017, then more assets and passenger stats were built up from there. The motivating factor being the new squadron carriers announced for the end of 2018.
-
2018
- Before Season 3.0 in 2018, 6 new ships were bought and all of their modules were engineered to the highest grade for conversion into the new system.
- The entire fleets modules were converted and engineered up to the new max level which was a lot of effort! There was a long time spent working out modules, searching for mats and flying each ship. After a good few months effort, the fleet conversion project was complete.
- In mid-2018, after hearing the news of Thargoid attacks on our settlements, I went to investigate and created this album[/url]. The gallery is shown in order and contains all locations again, if you'd like see
- In October, I'd achieved three CQC milestones:
- A CQC progress tracker was created and shared with the community here: CQC Tracker for the Community
- CQC prestige 4 was reached.
- Win / Loss ratio was increased above 1.0.
- A lot of late 2018 was spent focusing on gaining even higher stats (including combat and CQC) with other tasks to break it up.
-
2018-2019
- Another 8 ships were bought and all fully engineered (like the rest of the fleet). I’d planned to go on Distant Worlds 2 but due to technical issues with remote engineering, I couldn’t complete my upgrades and so decided to take extended shore leave.
-
2019
- At the end of April, I came back and despite still having the same engineering issue which made upgrades take longer, the 8 ships were completed. The fleet had 17 ships with various different functions. Click here for fleet details
- After then, I'd been using the new ships and adding / adjusting cockpit customisations (Elite G19s app EDDI & VA).
- The rest of the year was spent collecting as many materials as possible so any further engineering phases could be done immediately.

-
2019-2020
- At the end of 2019, more ships were purchased for the fleet which brought the total to 24. From the previous efforts in material gathering, they were easily engineered to maximum levels, matching the rest of the fleet.
-
2020
- Up until mid April 2020, material and data stocks were replenished so everything was at full capacity. I'd also reached a total of 8.05MM / 8,050km or nearly 5,000 miles driven in the SRV.
- The Mining and Thargoid Awards were unlocked and exploration was the next focus.
- Viatorem went away on a long exploration trip and the Award for The Explorer Tier 2 was achieved in May. Afterwards, exploring was continued and a route was set around the galaxy from The Eagle Nebula (explained in detail here).
-
2020-2021
- The exploration journey was finished and the final log can be found here.
- After 300K LY, Viatorem was taken back to Shinrarta Dezhra for various cockpit customisations and to start work on a new central computer build for the ship.
-
2021
- After so much time exploring in 2020, the start of 2021 was very casual whilst also working on parts for the ships new computer.
- With over 6,100 hours mostly in space, new Human tech upgrades in May meant stepping outside of our ships was finally possible. The ship I consider the most sentimental and my original 'main' ship, Atavus became my main ship again (after +6 years) to experience the new frontier.
- In Q3, two new ships were commissioned into fleet: with a new Cutter Continentis to cover mining and a new Corvette Evocatus Augusti to cover space combat.
- With years of improvements and over 200 hours effort this year, my EDDI personality was shared with the community here, on Oct 1st.
- Another +2 weeks later, Byzantium, a fleet carrier was bought, customised and enlisted as a centre of operations.
- Exploration Star 1 was achieved and also quad Elite with Mercenary Elite being reached in November.
-
2021-2022
- 2 new other ships were added to fleet, with a second Anaconda Triarius, covering specialist Anti Xeno Scout hunting, and a third Cutter Navis Oneraria, covering rapid speed and high capacity (768T) trade.
- As always, further enhancements were made to my EDDI personality, which you can download for free here
-
2022
- There were various upgrades done to my setup in the first quarter, including two completely custom GameGlass Shards for my Squadron, which you're welcome to import too:
- During that time, I'd earned 1.2b credits (mainly from helping with the Colonia Bridge).
- Extra services were added to the Fleet carrier Byzantium, then amounting to 34 million credits every week / or over 1.7 billion a year .
- Most of the remaining year was spent focussing on Odyssey engineering and also many more improvements to EDDI.
- The work resulted in 5 specialist ground suit designs, with one of each type being fully completed in this phase (G5 and fully engineered). Here are the Artemis, Maverick and Dominator completed suits:

-
2022-2023
- During the Stargoid bubble invasion, a new and third Anaconda Liberatum, was added to the fleet for bulk passenger transport, also covering a small amount of refugee evacuation in the war.
- More improvements were made to the ground kits, with resource gathering and final improvements planned for later in 2023.
-
2023
- The Thargoid bubble Invasion was the top priority for early 2023. Navis Oneraria was repurposed for refugee evacuation and saved the lives of thousands of people.
- The Anti Xeno Corvette Moribus Astrum was taken out of carrier storage and overhauled to specialise in new Thargoid intelligence strategies for eradicating Interceptors. The new ship design and attack method were used to defend many Human settlements.
- My focus is to continue helping in the war, continue work on the Elite Star levels and as always, INARA Awards. They're progressing well, but there's always work to be done o7
