Father tried to kill her engineer as a revenge, but missed him and was left heavily injured. Father was captured by the engineer, who disappeared with him and a couple of mercenaries.
Freed his father a couple months later with a ground-forces commando, supported by some small ships and SRVs.
Father is now retired in a nice condo at Keyes Stop, traveling from time to time around the galaxy.

Has dropped research jobs, now works in space and planetary exploration, mercenary expeditions and biological sampling.
