K*** P********, call sign "DERPY SMOOG" is a licensed Imperial pilot who got their start running sensitive wartime data. They gained some renown in conflicts late in 3301 after escaping repeated attempts to interdict and destroy their Imperial Eagle during a major border dispute in the Aditi system and earned the right to fly the Imperial Courier. This ship would be their main vessel of choice as they began taking on more dangerous duties from the Imperial Navy, which included ferrying diplomats, escort duty, search and rescue, and the tracking and execution of several prominent and infamous local pirates around Aditi. Earning the title of Duke and finally being allowed to purchase and fly the impressive Imperial Cutter allowed them to start a profitable but short career moving Imperial Slaves from system to system in the Empire. However, after discovering the state many Imperial slaves were kept in, they spoke out rather vehemently against the practice of slavery and refuse to carry them anymore, even participating in an illegal blockade of stations where they were bought and sold, leading to a temporary exile from Imperial territories.

After being exiled K*** spent a small fortune fitting an Asp Explorer for long term deep space exploration and simply left the bubble and all it troubles behind for a while. They returned several months later in Federation space, where their skill flying small and medium ships in combat against larger vessels earned them a very good reputation with many local governments as a legal and respectful bounty hunter. Their reputation with the Federal Navy is such that in spite of their status as an Imperial citizen they are allowed to fly the coveted Federal Corvette.

Following Aisling Duval publicly speaking out against the practice of slavery, their exile was quietly lifted, and they returned to Imperial space. In spite of tense relationships between the Empire and Federation K*** has maintained diplomatic ties to both and is still one of the Federations top choices for dangerous bounties and pirate threats, a sentiment shared by Imperial systems. Their Imperial Cutter, the I.S.S. Autarkia has been a welcomed sight on many worlds stricken with famine and other disasters, and their stark white Federal Corvette, the I.S.S. Defiance, is a frightening sight for many who live outside the law.
