Geirdriful is a lightly armed and armored deep deployment vessel, her non-flight crew consisting of Liao-Kawiński Tech scientists. The ship is outfitted with research facilities and equipment that can easily run on little power, allowing the ship to be deployed at a single site for months at a time. As a result she is capable of being deployed long-range for over one year on a single mission. Purposed mainly for xeno research, but also doubles as a discovery and long-range geological data center for New Republic mining vessels.
