Description
Built and configured for Distant Worlds 2, this whale of a science vessel is designed to survive months out in the void. Along with the Type-9, the 10 has the best view of any large ship. And compared with the 9 it swaps one open internal for two military slots, hence my decision to take two lightweight hull reinforcements and no shield. The trade-off for this is a larger FSD allowing the Type-10 to carry more weight without reducing it's jump range so drastically. Still at 45 Ly it's going to lag behind the Anacondas and a lot of the smaller ships on the expedition.
