The story of the Spirit In The Sky is at best unclear. During Distant Worlds 2, this heavy explorer / miner withstood among the ships of the "mining project" by providing raw material in Omega for the construction of the Explorer's Anchorage space station near Sagittarius A*.
The truth won't ever be known, but it is said that this ship might the mythic Sbriti Inatersky, which disappeared by the end of 3304 during a ghost operation of destabilisation of the Federation by the Empire in the Diaguandri sector, the famous "Diamonds of the Empire" scandal.
