Description
"The Beast of Skye." That was the nickname of the legendary - and possibly mythical - Scottish mercenary Lachlan MacAsgaill, of the Isle of Skye, who was known for his absolute viciousness in battle. I named this ship after him because, like him, it is an absolute beast in a fight. It packs one hell of a punch, is fairly fast and agile, and thus far has managed to take on fights I was hesitant to enter. The only time she took hull damage was from an accidental high-speed collision.

I admit I was rather hesitant when entering into Medium-sized ship territory. Further, I deliberated with myself heavily over whether to get the Chieftain or it's sister ships. I was very happily surprised with the speed and handling of the Beast, and after a few tweaks, the only part I am now considering dumping in the wake scanner as very few ships can wake out before I finish them. More importantly, the ones that get away are not ones worth tracking down.

In my travels around the bubble, I see a lot of different ships and hear a lot of opinions and advice on ship selection. I think it's safe to say that I am going to be flying the Beast of Skye for a long time to come, even when "bigger and better" ships become available to me.

Eventually, I will likely drop the vehicle hangar, but for now, it's convenient for doing surface missions where I might have to fight my way back out of atmo. I do want to perhaps rig her for fighting Thargoids in the future.
The ship loadout is unknown.
