The Calculated Wit was commissioned as the Jewel of the Lydian Fleet by CMDR GI Joey on July 23rd, 3302. Though it would temporarily be supplanted by the Mary's Nipple as GI Joey's titular flagship, it would serve in a critical role throughout the era of the infamous Commodore's time as a dominant pilot throughout his career. As he expanded his moneymaking operations to include more community security and long-distance hauling of a less lascivious nature, the Wit, so named as homage and punchline to the seafaring vessels of ancient history, served dutifully in whatever role her commander saw fit- expanding trade, ruining the day of anyone unlucky enough to stumble across her, and exploring the unknown reaches, one leg of the journey at a time.
