Description
While the exact purchase details are somewhat shady, historians generally agree that Commander GI Joey acquired his signature flagship in middle-to-late 3302. Before she was even christened, GI Joey was attacked by pirates while flying the as-of-yet-unnamed vessel to his home system of Cubeo for the official naming ceremony. Never one to back down from a fight, the infamous pilot turned the nose of the new Cutter on the pirate Dropship, shearing her in two with a few well-timed boosts of his E-rated thrusters. A trader docking at the station where the incident took place commented that "the Cutter pilot handled the ship more like a sword than a superheavy spacecraft;" resultingly, the ship was first christened The Rapier, and named official flagship of the Lydian Fleet. It was around this time that relations between the Duke and the Empire began to take on a more tenuous note. Having broken off his romance with Ariana Moorehead-Duval some weeks prior, it was less than a month before GI Joey was spotted escorting Tiana Sykes, wealthy socialite and CEO of the powerful Ajoku Industries Corporation, to multiple social events, often arriving flying the ship that, much like her commander himself, was both heavy trader and edged weapon alike. It was Sykes who came up with the Cutter's final name, after a mountain on earth famed for its skiable snow.
The ship loadout is unknown.
