A fresh, new Anaconda ordered specifically by Commander Lancel, by this year the alias belonging to Alira Veles, Destiny has been in vacuum sealed storage for some time as one of Faulcon DeLacy's many Anacondas ready for eventual purchase following the class's popularity. Alira took ownership at Jameson Memorial on 13 June 3305, partially celebratory as she had only achieved Elite recognition earlier that same day from the field of Exploration. The white paint job roughly replicates a Gutamaya standard paint job, which Alira favors as a staunch member of the Empire. Named Destiny, the vessel is fitted as a multirole explorer, armed, yet also featuring lightweight internals, shields, vehicle and fighter hangars, and detail surface scanner.
Alira Lancel resorted to the Anaconda to finally move on from her Imperial Courier, which was the best she could bring out after her family's dishonor during the decision for the next Emperor in 3301. Depicted prominently on the hull is the iconography of an Elite explorer, which Alira achieved after years of flying an Imperial Courier to expand Imperial interests. Also present on the left flank is the symbol of Princess Aisling Duval, whom Alira still supports despite the tragedy of her family's involvement during Aisling's bid to become Emperor.
In August of 3305, Alira brought Destiny as the vanguard to the Witch Head expedition, producing exploration data and scouted ahead prior to the arrival of the megaships and stations in search of new sources of Meta-Alloys. She encountered heavily Thargoid interference, and a hyperdiction combined with interference from a mercenary hired by an unknown hand prevented her from stopping the expedition's fated jump to the Witch Head Nebula which ended in full Thargoid hyperdiction and assault, just like she had witnessed at the Gnosis.
Over the months following, Alira focused her attention on the Empire and restoring her family name through service assisting Princess Aisling Duval, which eventually went recognized with much of their honor restored. Eventually, imperial writ restored the family's Duchy, with Alira the Duchess. She also briefly took up mining, stripping down the Anaconda into a (well-armed and high ranged) mining vessel in answer to the Borann Low Temperature Diamond rush, where she made more credits than she had ever seen before in her life. It was with this money, and her restored House, that she later acquired her own Imperial Cutter, and eventually allowed her entire House to sponsor their own Fleet Carrier, the Valiant, with which she journeyed to the M67 Open Cluster, a place from which there was no return - save with a Fleet Carrier. There she found the fate of the final volunteers from the Distant Worlds 3303 Expedition, their Anacondas seemingly all crashed on a distant and dim star along a moon's ridge, many seeming to have intentionally boosted into the ground, as if in ritual suicide. She did not check for the bodies, leaving the Anacondas themselves as graves. She returned her SRV to her own Anaconda, and returned to the Valiant. Destiny mapped many systems within the cluster before returning to the Valiant for extraction.
These events extended into the early parts of 3306. In early 3306, exploration once again called to her after discovering some mysterious signals at times throughout the bubble, leading her to a mysterious individual who was promoting his service as an interstellar tour guide, and low key hinting at mysteries he called "the lore" of the universe. Invited and intrigued, Alira opted to join the man's tour, as had many other Commanders who found themselves in similar curiosities. Along it she found many answers to what she had wondered, but these only led to more questions. Destiny nonetheless went with her for much of this journey - as did the Valiant.
On her return in the latter half of 3306, Destiny underwent further engineering, again increasing various aspects of the vessel, including firepower as the lightweight guns were largely replaced with efficient ones with weight savings found elsewhere. The pulse lasers were also exchanged for incendiary multicannons at this time. She soon set out on another expedition, experimenting with a 64-ton fuel tank in what used to be a large cargo bay as she hit the neutron highway for what she described as a bucket list item, Sagitarrius A*, though in secret she was going to investigate what had been termed the Landscape Signal. Despite days of supercruising between stars on the massive fuel tank she had, she failed to find the source, and let it be for the time. She completed her exploration of the Galactic Core with a visit to a nearby black hole cluster, then to the Great Annihilator, and then to Colonia, where the fabled Colonia engineers were able to give her even more specialized engineering, reducing the weight of Life Support systems and improving Destiny's Shield Cell Bank. She soon after returned to the bubble, and to the Valiant, where spent considerable time preparing it at last, and filling it with Tritium.
She later participated on a more low key tour by the same guide, something called an Astro Tour, which only vaguely touched on certain mysteries. Thankful for what illumination he had provided before, Alira agreed to provide her house's Fleet Carrier to aid him, and again brought Destiny throughout. Favoring the range she now had, even the Valiant's participation in this tour did not dissuade her from bringing Destiny to oppose the Marlinist terror campaigns, investigate the mystery of the Adamastor, assist in the Coal Sack Nebula expedition, and even fight a brief skirmish with the Federation. Though that skirmish was lost, Imperial Writ again came, naming Alira a Queen of Cubeo, though in part this was due to the death of certain others from the same planet. For the final leg of the Astro Tour, a long range flight to Colonia, Destiny only came out of dock occasionally, where Alira needed to stay aboard the Valiant to manage the 50+ capital ship jumps needed to bring the Valiant to Evelyn's Light in time. The tour, which was holo recorded, captured the Valiant as she arrived at her final destination for the Astro Tour.
Destiny later hitchhiked back to Colonia by way of the Trifid Nebula to collect biological samples for a scientific initiative in Colonia to develop habitats for unusual lifeforms. Upon return to Colonia, she answered a call for famine relief from the new Marlinist colonies as a genuine humanitarian effort, protecting the spaceways for much needed food shipments. Despite previous association with attacks against the Marlinists, Alira maintained that it was only against the more extreme factions who bombed starports and killed Hadrian Duval. Destiny continued to be heavily involved in the suppression of the Neo-Marlinist extremists into 3307, and participated in suppression of the Muhdrid rebellion. Later, she was called in by Alira for special operations in the Adityan area, testing the integration of new personal suits and weapons with Destiny's systems.
Destiny has been heavily engineered over the past year, now on her tenth iteration of her intended form enabling a 51 LY jump range, the self-proclaimed fastest and most maneuverable Anaconda in the Galaxy, and enough firepower to give a Federal Corvette pause for concern. Realistically, however, she is occasionally refit for other roles, and with the Valiant rarely far away, this has certainly become more prone to whimsy. Destiny, however, remains Alira's favored ship. She is regularly accompanied by Laurel Park, an Elite fighter pilot, and sometimes a mysterious woman known as Romania who has participated in engineering many of the ship's systems. Since various organizations and corporations began bribing Pilots' Federation members with advanced prototype hardware, Destiny has received a number of upgrades to put her on the cutting edge of technology. It is perhaps for better and for worse, at one point scrambling the planetary landing systems, and currently suffering from errors with the proximity warning sensors issuing false positives.
In 3308, Destiny fought in the Battle of HIP 22460, having been hastily refit with Guardian Shard Cannons for the purpose of the extraction of a person of import from the INS Illustrious Fortune. Destiny arrived to find the INS Illustrious Fortune under heavy attack. After destroying three Cyclops and more than a dozen Scouts, she was unable to fight off the encroaching hordes of Thargoids in time before the deployment of the Proteus Wave, and the contact transmitted the relevant data and told Alira to make for the weapon site, including the coordinates of the Thargoid site chosen. Destiny was present in orbit directly over the Proteus Wave site when the weapon was fired, and was witness to the aftermath, including the shutdown which heavily affected her systems. Destiny rebooted to find significant hull damage, critical shields, and her Guardian technology irreparable, even with an AFMU. The only silver lining was that the Thargoid Proteus Wave shutdown pulse had somehow resulted in her proximity warning indicator being fixed, which had been on the fritz for the last two months. With the data gathered, Alira made to return to the INS Illustrious Fortune to make good on her extraction, only to find that the Thargoids had destroyed the ship in her moment of weakness. After a search for survivors turned up nothing, Destiny made a short survey of the system, chased by Thargoid interceptors the entire time and with no functioning weapons, before retreating from the lost battle.
In April of 3310, Destiny underwent trials with Achilles Corporation's new Frame Shift Drive based on Thargoid Titan drive technology. On 7 May 3310, a final refit was completed, enabling the Anaconda to achieve Supercruise Overcharge without sacrificing jump range, replacing the Brewer Corporation V1. After being configured to Alira's rigorous standards, Destiny was taken to Ishmael Palin's base in Arque to be fitted with a new Mass Manager.
