The Castillon build takes its name from the Castillon sword which was a fine cutting sword of simple design in use during the early to high Middle Ages.

Although in many instances capable of equiping superior quality components a number of the Castillon's basic core modules are largely under utillised and instead its potential options have been sacrificed and replaced with lighter, somewhat inferior and stripped-down parts. The Castillon's design loadout required bare minimum task mangement features in order to achieve a lighter mass and thus optimising it for greater jump range
Due to the lack of any firepower whatsoever the Castillon is not intended for operations in any kind of hostile environment, but instead was built for the solitude and remoteness of deep space exploration.
