Design and Purpose:
The Omaha was commissioned as a special project by the Achilles Corporation, a renowned shipbuilding conglomerate in co-operation with the Alliance.
Its sleek design emphasizes stealth, speed, and agility—ideal for lightning-fast strikes and evasive maneuvers.
The SSV Omaha, belonging to a new class of ships—the Python Mk 2—pushing the boundaries of technology.
Its most remarkable feature is the Supercruise Overcharge Frame Shift Hyperdrive.
This hyperdrive allows the Omaha to maintain cooler operating temperatures while achieving faster-than-light travel.
Unlike most other ships with this state-of-the-art hyperdrive installed, the Omaha’s overcharge system optimizes it for efficiency and speed.
The SSV Omaha owes its design and purpose to the legendary SSV Normandy, which played a pivotal role in the Reaper War of 2186 and became a symbol of Alliance resilience. Inspired by the Normandy’s success, the Systems Alliance sought to create a new vessel capable of spearheading hit-and-run operations against external alien threats. Like the Normandy, the Omaha is a force multiplier, disrupting enemy formations and gathering critical intelligence.
The Omaha excells at hit-and-run tactics. It can strike swiftly, inflict damage, and vanish before the enemy can respond effectively.
