Search & Rescue/Recon vessel
Thunderbird is a Search and Rescue vessel forward based at Asterope in the Thargoid plagued Pleiades region. Lightly armed and armoured Thunderbird can typically be found undertaking the dangerous work of extracting escape pods that are about to be consumed by Thargoid interceptors or assisting Thargoid ravaged mega ships. Thunderbird is also used to assist with more conventional spacefaring mishaps.
Thunderbird is named for the Advanced Space Shuttle in the series Thunderbirds: 2086 and follows the convention of 'Thunder' names for my vessels assisting in the Thargoid conflict.
