Ship details

This Anaconda class vessel is named after the transgender actress and activist of Earth's 20th-21th century Jacqueline Charlotte "Coccinelle" Dufresnoy. Her nickname, Coccinelle, which means ladybug in then French dialect, gave this ship its vibrant red color, dark details and white decorations.

Originally commissioned for painite mining, the J.C. Dufresnoy has proven its ability to perform well in bounty-hunting and short expeditions. Being the first large ship of Commander Austreelis' fleet, it is quite an accomplishment for xer, especially given xe made a bet with friends about commanding a ship "So large it would not be able to dock on Weil Beacon".

With the introduction in the fleet of the Sacha "Scarlett" Hostyn, the J.C. Dufresnoy has been refitted and is set to be engineered for long-range exploration exobiology research campaigns and deep space rescues.
