The Ezekiel 25-17 was launched in the Reorte system and commissioned on Dec 30, 3307, from Ford City / Groombridge 34.
The ship is a Fer de Lance type combat ship build by Zorgon Peterson.
Originally commissioned as a bounty hunting ship, the Ezekiel 25-17 has been refitted for anti-xeno combat and deployed in defence and reconquest missions ever since the start of the Second Thargoid War. Her home port is at Houssay Terminal in the Gliese 868 system.
Her namesake is a passage from the Bible, a collection of holy books of a religion based on Earth. In the book named "Ezekiel", chapter 25, verse 17 reads:
"The path of the righteous men is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper, and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers! And you shall know, my name is the Lord, as I lay my vengeance upon thee."
