Launched and commissioned from Ford City / Groombridge 34 on Jan 15, 3308, the Beluga Liner named "Tongariro Crossing" is designed as a high-class, long-range passenger cruise ship.
It can accomodate up to 43 passengers in one luxury and 3 business class cabins.
A Scarab type planetary vehicle is available to allow for planetary tours for selected passengers.
The ship also has a cargo compartment with a capacity of 32 tonnes for passengers' special requests.
The Tongariro Crossing currently has a range of about 40 light years per jump and is suited for mid-range tours around the Bubble.
The ship's home port is currently Houssay Terminal in the Gliese 868 system.
The name is a reference to a popular hiking trail in New Zealand / Earth.
