The ISV Francis Drake, named for the famous explorer who traveled all across the Atlantic Ocean of Old Earth during its Golden Age of Piracy, is a pure exploration vessel. It does not have any weaponry mounted, so as to save weight and mass. It has a heavily-engineered FSD and Guardian FSD Booster to maximize jump range, and a fuel scoop to allow significantly greater time away from stations and outposts. In addition to all of the above, it is also equipped with a hangar bay for a planetary scouting vehicle in order to explore uncharted worlds anywhere in the galaxy.
