Description
H.M.S. Portsmouth set sail from Earth on 26 October 3001 , in company with the ships Keppel, Royal Briton and Dunmore. She sailed mainly in fresh or Solar gales for most of the 36 days it took to reach Beagles Point, The voyage was not without its tensions. The log records that on 6 December , the Captain "punished William Pritt with two dozen lashes for striking the boatswain and carpenter" and demobbed on Deciat.
