Currently stripped from: Dual 5A Collection Limpet Controllers, Engineered 6A Shield, Planetary Surface Scanner, third Pulse Laser
Can hold well against most pirates with fully engineered 6A Shield Generator and some other improvements, along with three slightly enhanced large Pulse Lasers. Had to drop the drilling equipment though, but for deep core mining it is not needed anyway. It's cargo hold is not as big as possible, but normally, you'd sell opals in 100MCr bunches, for which the space is easily sufficient.
