Martin purchased this Cobra from his companion Michael Ryan during the famous Ellipse Trip. Michael convinced Martin that the Cobra could have a jump comparable to the Asp Scout, as well as maneuverability and the ability to land in difficult conditions. As the crew was on their own during the expedition and there was no civilization within a radius of 20,000 light years, Martin transferred the best modules from the Asp Scout called "SREBRNA KALEKA" to the new ship and thus the “ZWINNY PADALEC” was created.
