Ship details

The CRV Physeter is a Dropship-class research vessel formerly in active service of the Science and Research Division of the Federal Navy. The ship is equipped with a fully outfitted research wing, state of the art sensory equipment and modular probe bay. On top of this it provides all the necessities and luxuries for a crew to comfortably undertake deep space expeditions lasting for up to 6 months.

While on active duty inside the inhabited regions of space, the CRV Physeter also carries the necessary arms and armaments to defend itself against piracy and other hazards.

In light of recent discoveries of alien artefacts and the "barnacle" structures, the CRV Physeter and her crew have been consigned to the Canonn Research Group. They will represent the interests of Maxwell Corp. and the Federation in the search to unravel these mysteries. She will henceforth carry the CRV-21 ship ID.

The emerging Thargoid Crisis has called for some redesigns to allow the ship to withstand the effects of alien gunfire while carrying out science missions in the line of battle.

Ship plating has received a major update and is now able to sustain major damage while keeping crew and equipment safe from harm. Weapons and sensory equipment have been replaced the latest experimental Aegis designs.

With recent aggressive Thargoid incursions, the CRV Physeter has been relocated to the Colonia system to support local scientific ventures.
