Description
The Cagayan class interdictor (named after the battle in which a handful of Aragonese, Spaniards and Sicilians repelled the attack of 1000 Japanese samurai in the Philippines). It has a speed of almost 700ms, which is useful when you have to counter the gankers in the system: it puts them in interdiction, sprints away, stands out and waits for the ganker to reappear in the system to interdict it again. Instead, to counter the gankers near the stations, mount 2 cannons specifically mounted on turrets so that it can also target them from behind, (which is also useful when you have to escape after an interdiction) with Force Shell effect and Long Range level 5 , and a missile launcher with Fsd Interrupt effect. In this way you can counter the gankers outside the stations in 2 ways: the first is to wait for them to target a ship, as soon as they do it target them with the force shell cannons to destabilize them and give the targeted ships time to jump and in the at the same time launch the fsd interrupt missiles at him in order to try to prevent him from escaping from the greens, moreover when you start targeting the ganker the greens begin to target the interdictor too, but this has an advantage, because taking advantage of its speed the Interdictor can make quick passes near the ganker thus gathering the greens around him, all while continuing to target him with cannons and missiles. In this way the ganker is continuously disturbed in ganking, surrounded by greens and with the risk of not having fsd to escape. The second way is to get out of the action area of the greens and target the ganker with the force shell cannons always aiming at 4-5 km away in order to be out of the range of his weapons. The Interdictor is not a ship born to face gankers directly but simply to stop them from gankare. He doesn't have to destroy them (a task he can leave to players with other ships or the greens) he just has to keep them away from ganking effectively. Furthermore, the insurance cost is around a million and a half, therefore a sustainable cost even if you were to die many times (considering that there are transport missions that make you raise 50 million in half an hour, at most an hour) .
The ship loadout is unknown.
