Description
An unengineered Diamondback Explorer, configured to give new pilots, who have not yet unlocked any of the engineers, a taste of deep space exploration.
The Falcon Scott is capable of a unengineered 38ly jump range, putting most regions of the galaxy within her reach. She is fully equipped for self-sustained exploration missions, making it a useful template for new explorers to begin building on.
This was the ship that first ran the Vacuus Flume in 3307; a previously undocumented route that allows Antarctic explorers to cross directly from the Perseus Arm to the Outer Arm Vacuus across the Perseus Fade in ships with only a 38ly jump range...and without having to detour via the previously established Daedalus Crossing, or the much nearer Paradox Shortcut and Monoceros Passage (both of which have higher, engineered jump-range requirements).
