Carthage's name is from the Carthaginian capital city.

The ship is one of the biggest and slowest types of ships available. The Carthaginian Elephants had filled a similar role in the ancient world, which is how the ship got it's name.

The city of Carthage had fallen to the Romans in 146 BC and the city was then set on fire.
