Ship details

This is a ship very dear to my heart. This was not only the first ship I owned, but it was given to me for defending my home system from pirates. Actually it is spoils of war as originally it was a pirate’s vessel. It was confiscated from the pirates fleet after we defeated them. I was given it partly as payment for my service and partly as recompense for the death of my mother, which was caused by government negligence.

I renamed her Melissa's Romance. She was originally called Melissa's Bite, I assume because she is a Falcon DeLacey Cobra. Actually, do cobras bite? Anyway that seemed a little too aggressive for my tastes, so with the romance I had as a child of having my own ship I changed Bite to Romance.

She has done a bit of everything, trading, combat and exploration. Now that I have The Nomad for exploring, I have fitted Melissa out to have a more combat focused role.
