Almost September - August (3309)

What a year. I've been out in the black scanning and logging information and taking it very chill.

I needed this. I've had some time to read, log some data and see the views.

As usual, my recording of written logs here has been more miss than hit but there's some degree of consistency with being inconsistent right?

Been reading a lot about the Thargoid events and I'm happy to be well away from that hot mess.
On the other hand, whilst it's a blast to drop into a new system, there's a repetitiveness about the activity that has it's drawbacks.

Supplies are good, ship is in good shape, minus that 2% and there are plenty of scoop-ables (fuel suns) around to keep going for the foreseeable. That 2% still bugs me though every time I do a check of the systems.

I managed to do the unthinkable with my new ship and ram it into a rock on my first outing which thankfully the shields protected me from. Thinking this was the glitch for the trip (there's usually one right?), I dropped too close to the core during my next refueling and overheated a lot and lost 2% hull. So to say the ship is in good shape means minus 2%.

I expected to lose some over the trip as a whole, but hey ho ... can't do much about it now. We're keep going.

I stated using the Explorer Buddy interface in addition to the ED Discovery toolset recently and I'm liking it a lot. It syncs nicely with my jumps and scans and updates when I eventually find a space cabbage or biology colony. It even logs for me when I have landed on a planet which is a quick way to keep track.

I think I'll recommend it. https://edcodex.info/?m=tools&entry=585

I've started to read about RAAXLA recently again. Previously, it peaked some interest but I let it go.
All in all, there is some strange history to weed through but I have the time to research it here from time to time.

I'm kind a wondering, once the mystery is solved, what happens then ??

Anyway, until next time
