An Elite Dangerous Story: Exploration update After improving Xenia’s jump range and one or two other things Brandon started upon the next stage of his epic journey now aiming for the Sagittarius A* the super massive black hole at the centre of the galaxy .
He didn't want to do a straight run as that would be not what he was out there to do. He wanted to go where no one had been before.
So he pulled up the routing data that he had previously inputted which was mainly Small Worlds Expedition route no.1 took a look at it and made some changes he added in waypoints from the Distance Worlds Expedition 2 especially those which matched closely to his route . For this stage of the journey it added an additional 8 waypoints.
Including the waypoint which gave him nightmares SHROGEA MH-V E2-1763 ( Black in Green).
The reason being the last time he was there. He ran into some pirates who attacked and destroyed his ship and he awoke in a detention facility all because of a 100cr fine that was picked up by accident at Eagles Landing.
The journey was fairly uneventful he even had company in the shape of some holo avatars by commanders joining him via holo presence . It was during one of these sessions that he had gotten distracted. Talking to the hologram whilst approaching from orbit down to a surface geo site in the GRU HYPAI AV-P E5-2 system the transition from orbit was smooth
"I'll tell you what you need for a good exploration ship, you need…."
It was at This point when there was a loud bang and the sound of metal crumpling and the hologram disappears did he realise something had gone terribly wrong.
He took a look at the Hud and quickly found that he had lost 75% of the hull looking out the window he could clearly see the damage that had been done when the ship had done a nose dive into the ground. After leveling out he got onto the comms

Is either Explorers Anchorage, Eagles Landing or Gagarins gate
However we are sending out a request to our Pilots and to the Hull Seals to see if anyone is available to assist you at this time

ok I'll meet you halfway I will turn on my wing beacon I will be orbiting the first planet of the star
He writes putting in the location system into the message and the navigation computer to plot the route and starts going to the location
It's about an hour later when he arrives at the chosen system.
He orbits a Rocky planet with no atmosphere
Cmdr "Moneybags" Anaconda rips it self into normal space
It is a golden orange colour Brandons face breaks into a big grin at the sight of it
Over the voice comms system
“I hear that you need some help”
“ I'm really excited to see you” he says with relief in his voice
“Not a problem so what do you need “
"I need some repairs, I'm down to 25% Hull can you help ?
"Not a problem I've got some repair limpets and I will fire them your way "
It only takes a few minutes for the limpets to do their work after which Xenia is back up to full fitness
"What do I owe you ?"
"Nothing"
"What do you really mean that ?"
"Yes just do me a favour don't go face planting your ship into anymore planets i might not be around to help you !"
"Ok that's a deal I will try to help someone next time"
Both ships turn and face each other, Then dip their noses and waggle their wings in salute to each other .
With ever increasing thrust they fly-by each other
"Safe journey Cmdr" Brandon says into the comms system over the howling of the ships engines powering up to jump to super cruise
"Watch yourself out there Cmdr" comes the scratchy reply.
"Will do" Brandon says out loud to the ship
They start their respective journeys one back to the bubble and the second deeper into the black .
