The past few weeks Brandon has been working in the bubble building his stable of ships and his funds reached the lofty heights of 1.5b cr. As well as working on his standing with either the Federation, or the Empire .Since he got back from Beagle Point
He spent time out in guardian territory working on gathering the various materials and pieces of data needed to gain the reputation to unlock the various guardian weapons and their modules with technology broker.
He spent time deep inside the imperial territory, running missions building his reputation inside imperial circles taking his time to earn his dukedom gaining the keys to the finest imperial ship money could buy Imperial Cutter
One of the main ways he built his funds was by mining both Deep Core and laser surface mining along with some of the funds he made from the trip out and from mining.
He built himself a combat Corvette to take on pirates which plague the bubble as part of the building the ship Brandon spent time farming the crystal growths outside of the bubble as well as visiting various sites to get the parts needed to make the modifications required by the engineers
With some help from the Anti-Xeno wing of the Fatherhood and other sources brandon built two ships
One which was designed to take-on the Thargoid Scouts the second one was built to deal with the larger Thargoids these ships was transported to one of the major Thargoid hotspots and left there ready to join in with the war.
With the Combat Corvette he took on a crew member who took on the role of fighter pilot, and she helped Brandon when he fought in the combat zones as part of missions for Fatherhood Command to further their intrests
As a consequence of helping with the Fatherhood’s actions his combat rank increased to Dangerous which was a source of pride for him not only was he Elite but he was also Dangerous when he was flying his combat orientated ships
It was during this time that the Exploration Wing of the Fatherhood went out into the black on their expedition code named : Lost Souls 2. He followed their progress via the squadrons private discord network
As they went to Colonia and then out west to some of the unmapped regions in that area of the galaxy and their return home. He marvelled at the images that was sent back
It was after looking at the pictures that the siren call on the vast unexplored reaches started whispering to him, to leave the familiarity of the bubble, to find where no-one else has been before, to see the lost hidden reaches,
He looked on one of the many exploration networks he found one code-named EDSM which worked off galnet
It showed him where his ID tag had been tracked across the galaxy he noted it didn't show his trip to the Formandine rift when he went there on the Lost Souls Expedition No 1
He looked at as a opportunity to do the trip again.
Using a local network he called up details of one of his ships on Coriolis and looked into extending the range of that ship from a little over 64ly jumps to over 72ly
To do this there was some engineering and adjustments needed doing. Which was needed , could do with and what he could do without . As part of the work done he contacted and consulted with some of the comanders who went on the Distant Worlds second expedition they sent him a detailed guide which they used to help with outfitting their ships.
Although he had a fair number of engineering blueprints pinned he still needed to vist an number of engineers to gain some of their more experimental work to eke out every inch of light year range, and to use some of their blueprints which wasn't normally pinned .
Once he was happy with the ship after running around the bubble going from engineer to engineer.
He made sure that the ship was fully stocked and ready to run for a extended period of time
He sent a couple of messages out to Fatherhood Command and to Aisling Duval Command and a number of friends stating that he wouldn't be available for the next few weeks due to the fact that he would be deep in the black on a personal exploration expedition to the Formandine rift.
The first waypoint was Hajangai which was the launch point before heading towards GCRV 2334
Once the first jump had been completed The Call of the Black fully embraced him and swallowed him whole and he was gone .......
