Pre-Expedition Log

They may be Outcasts in this vast galaxy of ours... But they're some of the finest men I've come in contact with. After joining the wing nearly 2 months ago I've moved up the ranks swiftly. Already being a commander I have some power in the wing but not much. And yet I'm content with this. It's a relatively peaceful wing. There are some cadets that tend to bicker but nothing too major yet. But with the expedition coming up all of the explorers are high strung and ready. Some are going out in the normal exploration ships. Like Asp Explorers and Diamond Back Explorers. And even myself taking the easy route and going out in the Germania, my newly engineered Anaconda. But some Commanders are a little more adventurous and are piloting some interesting ships. One cadet is taking out his combat Fer-De-lance that he's engineered for jump range. One of my fellow Lower Command Commanders is even taking out a Sidewinder for Gods sake! I guess its just the side of them that wants to go against the grain and be their own pilots. I can respect them for what they're doing. I just think they're a little crazy. I plan on keeping my logs updated as we go out into that dark night we call space. Although my thoughts on going out to the Formidine Rift are a little sketchy. I'm really not sure how i feel about heading out into an area that's so synonymous with mystery and even death. Hopefully everything will be okay. Our explorers are experienced and well versed in long distance travel so I'm sure everything will go smoothly. Lets just hope i don't have to bring an escape pod in.
