With the recent preparation war in DR Crucis it has become clear that the Federation wants to invade into our little neck of the woods, and with their current expansion under way our home of LTT 4961 is under threat of exploitation.That was enough reason for me to not only sign up to Mahon to fight them off, but also to abort my exploration and rush home from the Heart and Soul Nebulae over the weekend.
I don't recommend doing roughly 8000 lightyears over such a short period of time, it is where space madness lies.
After roughly 5000 lightyears I was finally in range to join in on some long range comms chatter to help keep me sane, but the silence kept creeping in and gave me ample time to come up with ideas like "Wouldn't it be really useful if I could deploy my SRV a kilometer above the surface, and my ship would automatically be dismissed?" and other rather crazy things. Staring into stars can also become quite an exciting passtime.
In order to get a level head I took out a Suicidewinder after cashing in my data and happily watched the self destruction countdown approach the magic 0.
Coherent thought is still hard, I keep drifting away to the stars. But for now I am a Mahoney, bent to keep Winters out of DR Crucis and LTT 4961. Insanity is a dangerous ally.
