Well, I already forgot my new years resolution of updating my log. But I didn't forget completely to update it.I got that rush again today. I decided to dust off the old Federal Assault Ship, and got behind the controls of it. I sat behind the controls, and took off, and flew off to a different system than my home system, or the hangar that had it located. And flew quite a few light years to get to my target.
And then docked at a station, and took off after filling my fuel tanks. And went to a nearby resource extraction site.
And then the thrill hit as I started unleashing my beams and my multicannons onto a nearby criminal. And then a few more. And many more. And then more criminals. And even more. I only returned when I had to patch up my ship and get more ammo for the multicannons. But it was an intense experience, and the rush returned to me. Much different than shipping cargo. Not to mention the view was absolutely amazing when I faced the planet, and the sun reflecting off the asteroids.
It was just a normal resource extraction site. I am not brave enough right now to go into a hazardous site where there are no system authority to give me a hand if I get my hands too full.
