Now that I've spent the last week mining more painite than I care to admit, I've been able to re-acquire all of the ships I've had to hock over the years, filling my hangars again. So please, take a look at my fleet page for glamour shots of these babies.I have, inexplicably, found that the Cutter is a very apt mining ship. Despite its somewhat reduced cargo hold, I find it a better worker than the T9, if only for the fact that I can haul a load of painite in half the jumps and with none of the anxiety that comes with flying a sheet metal pole-barn. In fact, in the cutter, I can mine an eighth of my hold's capacity, get bored, shut everything off, go to sleep and wake up the next day not having to worry about nosy pirates sniffing around for my reactivated heat signature, trying to pry open my hatches for a handful of pretty rocks.
Most craft are in MCRN service, and I imagine that once I obtain a Fleet Carrier license, they'll all be happily shuttled out to Pedersen's Legacy, and from thence out into the black somewhere. I would like nothing more than an exploration carrier within which to stretch my legs and haul my ships, and a desolate corner of Viatori Patuit to retire in.
