I am currently sitting somewhat shy of one-quarter of the way to Colonia, on the shores of the region known as The Fallows. This region is a gap between the Orion arm and the Perseus arm, and exhibits markedly lower stellar density. This poses a challenge to ships with lower Jump range, but not Samba Tranquille.Because of the paucity of stars and its position between two dense arms, this area is not very well explored, which is fine by me! More undiscovered sectors, more money! Not that money means anything out in the black, because it doesn't- but it does mean more for the MCRN, and I plan on dumping a massive amount of Cartographic Data with them.
I don't have a crew on this expedition. I don't even have any companions: it's just me and the ship. And you, dear logbook.

Cha-ching! That was a nice 100 million data transfer! MCRN got its intel, Universal Cartographics got their surveying, and I got the money! I suppose I should be responsible, bank most of this and spend what I can on repairs and maintenance-- and I will-- but it's my first and last time seeing my comrades in the flesh for a while, so I'm ready to blow off some steam. My friends. The next time you'll see me, I'll have a Triple Elite badge on my ship. Just wait. Until then, it's the void for me.

And now I'm back on track. I keep forgetting that this ship, while named for a tranquil samba, can really eat up the distances between stars, especially with a neutron boost and the guardian FSD booster in the back. It took me a few days shy of a week to get back to the next waypoint on Perseus Reach from Colonia-- that's a little more than 10,000 light years! And to think, it used to take me two weeks just to get to Jaques Station.
Well, I'm here, early as usual, puttering around the waypoint system without a care in the world. You know what, I've got a slightly neglected hydroponic lab next to my quarters, so seeing as I don't have to be anywhere until April 4, I'm just going to shut down everything non-essential and have a nice, quiet vacation here on this desolate rock.
