Post-Perseus Reach log #1

21 May 2020Nullvektor
I'm sitting in deep space, listening to the whir and click of the synthesizer refill my AFMUs. Everything's powered down except for life support, and I'm peering at the map. My current position is just outside the first planet in the Rendezvous Point system, and I have a conundrum. I can make a beeline to Explorer's Anchorage for a tune-up and a refill of my supplies, or I can chug onwards, straight to Mobia. Let's be honest, I have no pressing reason to be in Explorer's Anchorage outside of the nostalgia and the comfort of having a crew giving my ship a thorough cross-check before I hit the Colonia region. I also have many reams of cartographic data and initial discoveries that the MCRN needs. I'm about halfway between Salome's Reach and Colonia, and making the SagA* stopover is a bit of a detour.

Well, I have time to consider it all. The damage from repeated neutron boosts was pretty heavy and I had tapped into my reserve AFMU to handle the final patch-ups. Naturally, the first thing I repaired was the ship's log recorder. I'm going to hop into supercruise and drop out pretty far from the system's orbital plane, then shut everything off and have a nice nap. Then it's back to the jump. Wherever that might be.
Do you like it?
