A Surprising Turn of Events.

While cooling my heels in Okinura and considering my next move, I decided to take part in the Community Goal in Morai. The goal is based around adding new ships to the Imperial Navy. Now I have no real interests in the Empire - even with open war looming on the ever-closing horizon - and to be honest expected very little from my efforts to take part. I really believed it would be little more than a few cargo runs to take up time.

That said, the financial rewards for this Goal were insane. There's no other word for it. The top 99% of participating Commanders stood to make 400KCR. The top 75% stood to make 12MCR. Yes, twelve million credits. In total, I was able to provide 240T of the required materials and would have been perfectly happy with that. Then the next Tier was reached and 48MCR was the projected payout. There must have been a super-run to get the Goal finished because within less than a day of signing up, the Community Goal completed and I was able to claim my rewards.

I made 69MCR with that 240T of cargo.

I'm actually well within reach of purchasing another Python and not having to worry too much about equipping her properly.

As an aside, I was interdicted on one of those cargo runs and decided to hand in the voucher to Tod McQuinn so I can start looking at weapons upgrades. I've only handed in 17,000 of the 100,000 needed but it's a start.
