Stepping out of Character to Begin the Story.

Greetings, fellow Commanders. Welcome - again! - to my Elite: Dangerous journey.I'm not normally one for rage-quitting but earlier this week I'd just had enough. I was playing in Solo doing a few quiet trade runs just to boost my bank balance a bit when I got interdicted and destroyed twice within half an hour or so. I'm no slouch when it comes to combat but for whatever reason my skills were found wanting, my bank balance even more so.
I took a day and thought things over and decided how I would do things differently from now on. Then I wiped my saved data and rebooted my Elite Dangerous experience.
I have just reset my Inara profile / data as well so as to make a fresh start. I've even left the Paladin Consortium and started out on my own.
When I recount my stories from the game I will do it here. Most of my posts here will be in-character from the point of view of my Commander. I'll step out of character occasionally as I have done here as and when the situation warrants it.
Please feel free to send me game-related Private Messages here, I'll do my best to answer them!
To distinguish between NPCs and my fellow players, when I refer to encounters with NPCs I will describe them as "Native" pilots. Fellow players will be described as Commanders.
Well, I think that's it. All that remains is to bid you all fly safe and I'll see you out in the black!
